Summary
The MMH Introduction to Clinical Research workshop was successfully held between Monday 27 March 2023 – Thursday 30 March 2023 at Melili Hotel in South B, Nairobi. A total of 53 staff were trained through highly engaging and interactive sessions. The training facilitators included: Dr. Kevin Rombosia (DMS, MMH), Dr. Olive Akunga (Physician & Clinical Epidemiologist, MMH), James Kahiga (Nursing Tutor & Medical Researcher, MMH) & Alex Mutuku (Biostatistician). The trainees also attained Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification. Through the MMH Research Committee, we hope to schedule a similar workshop annually to continue empowering MMH research champions with the relevant knowledge and skills in Research Ethics, Proposal Writing, Research Methods, Data Analysis, Report Writing & Publishing, among others
