Biography

Johnson Kamau is a Finance, Risk and Strategy specialist with over 15 years of work experience out of which 8 are at senior executive level managing financial institutions within Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ghana.

He holds a Master of Science degree in Management of Information Technology from London School of Economics (“LSE”) London, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (First Class honours) at JKUAT. He is also a Certified Information Auditor (“CISA”), Certified Internal Auditor (“CIA”) and Certified Accountant (“ACCA”)..

He previously worked with CBA Bank as Group Head of Enterprise Risk, Chase Bank Limited Kenya as General Manager Group Strategy, Barclays Bank as Chief of Staff, KPMG and PwC as a risk consultant.

Johnson is the vice president and a board member of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Kenya chapter, Board Member and Chair of Audit and Risk Committee at Century Microfinance Bank and a Board member at Lapid leaders Africa.
