COVID 19 may be spread by coming in contact with surfaces contaminated with disease droplets then touching your eyes, nose or mouth, sneezing, failing to clean hands and then coming into contact with shared facilities which include phones, tables, chairs, lifts, keypads, stair railings, walls, computer keyboards etc. Always remember to practice good hand hygiene and use hand sanitizers

Asymptomatic transmission is one of the routes of transmission from #COVID19 patients.They do not develop symptoms.Most cases have been established through contact tracing according to World Health Organization (WHO). This therefore,requires us to strictly follow the government directives, Ministry of Health and other health agencies to avoid transmission.

Using a mask correctly is an effective way to slow down the spread of COVID-19. To do this,

  1. Wash your hands with soap and water/sanitize with alcohol based sanitizer before putting on a mask.
  2. Ensure the mask covers your mouth and nose well leaving no gaps.
  3. Avoid touching the mask when it is on your face.
  4. Remove the mask using the strings or elastic. Do not touch the front of the mask as you do this. And do not touch your face.
  5. Dispose off the mask immediately.
  6. After disposing the mask, wash your hands with soap and water or sanitize with alcohol based sanitizer.

  1. Have a routine and abide by it, prepare a to do list /check list and review the routine from time to time.
  2. Eat a balanced diet.
  3. Create some 30 minutes of an indoor physical activity.
  4. Create some 20 minutes of a mental activity, this can be an online-game e.g scrabble, candy-crush, sudoku, cross word puzzles or read a book.
  5. Include an Interactive play with your family members e.g skipping rope,etc
  6. Avoid tracking news of Covid-19, if you can’t help the situation then stay away from it and follow the government directives, avoid sharing/forwarding messages that have not been verified. Zone out, Tune off the Tv if it makes you anxious
  7. Get sufficient sleep.Practice sleep routine, avoid caffeine drinks before bedtime, minimize bedroom lighting and avoid screen use during bed time.
  8. Avoid Alcohol and all other stimulants or addictive substances like cannabinoids, khat etc
